Cyberattacks pose a significant threat to librarians tasked with safeguarding sensitive data and restricted content. These attacks can take various forms, with ransomware being one of the most prevalent. A notable example occurred in October 2020 when the University of Vermont Medical Center fell victim to such an attack.
